Happy National Videogame Day!

  • September 12, 2015

Just a quick thank you to everyone who wanders the desert with me! I've so enjoyed getting to share my world with you, and for all of the ideas, suggestions, and excitement you bring. Thanks for sitting together with me as we kick the dust from our shoes, face the campfire and swap stories.

Recent Recognition!

  • March 4, 2014

I've been blown away like a tumbleweed by the response to the public launch and to the work I've been doing on The Inbound Lands. I was recently awarded an Artist Residency at Wildacres Retreat specifically to work on the Forest Region of the Inbound Lands. Learn more about Wildacres here:             12th & Broad were kind enough to write an article about the game shortly after I made the launch public. Check it out here:

Redesigned Train Car!

  • January 16, 2014

For those of you who've already visited with us before, The Inbound Lands has a brand new train car: we've gone through a site redesign to improve the atmosphere, appearance, and experience of the website. There's a lot of flexibility ahead which will allow me to include some pretty awesome new feelies, and pave the way to the launch of v0002, which adds improvements and gameplay elements... not to mention altering parts of the landscape in new and interesting ways after seeing the sands crossed by so many Beta-tester feet. But! v0001 is now open to all players, regardless of Beta status! Fair...

Dozens of footprints are crisscrossing the sands, but for those of you waiting at Powell Station for the full release, there's exciting news: For those of you following The Inbound Lands on Pinterest, you may have started to see more and more figures creeping into the images I'm choosing. There's been a lot of foot-traffic in The Inbound Lands Beta, and I'm responding to that in subtle ways. Future players may start to see evidence of other travelers soon, as well as ways to connect with others! I'm closer than ever to a public release of the first region, but in the meantime, I've been looking...

Sandmaster!

  • August 27, 2013

On the surface, the desert is relatively quiet, but if you pay attention, there's all sorts of life: Beta testers have been exploring the world, reporting back from all corners of the initial tests. I've gotten some great responses so far from some very dedicated folks, and I'm immensely grateful, and looking forward to coding new areas. I've spent the past few days revising the source code to streamline environmental "effects," and I feel like the new King of Sand as a result! It's such an under-the-radar change, but it should make many things run more smoothly and efficiently, as well as give...

In The Desert!

  • August 3, 2013

Like sand gathering on a pile of boxes, the "Outbound World" continues to sift inspirational influence towards and into The Inbound Lands. If you've been curious to dig a little deeper, you can check out In The Desert, a Flipboard magazine of art and articles that are inspirational as I continue discovering and coding the game world.   Also, a huge shout-out to the beta testers who've already couraged through customs and responded with feedback! I'm excited to release v0002 soon!

v0001!

  • July 10, 2013

The Inbound Lands is pleased to announce that beta testing has begun! Select individuals have already graciously agreed to wander the desert, but if you're a hearty, curious, adventuresome soul, you can request a beta invite here. Regardless of your beta status, you can enjoy some of the available Feelies: a Spotify playlist of music that inspired the game, and recommendations for in-game listening. As the game grows, there'll be more to come, so sign up for our mailing list and stay tuned.
